TV Ratings Up For NBA Finals

TV Ratings Up For NBA Finals

Postby ClubKnicks on Tue Jun 13, 2006 5:47 pm

RealGM:ESPN.com - Ratings for the first two games of the the NBA finals between Miami and Dallas were up 13 percent for ABC in comparison to last year's championship series with San Antonio and Detroit.

The second game of the series on Sunday night, which Dallas won 99-85, drew an average rating of 8.0 -- a 17 percent increase from 2005.

Not surprised, last year's finals didn't have as much action since both teams were known for playing half court and a ton of defense. Here you have two teams that can run up and down the court and there are more popular players (Wade, Shaq, Dirk, Terry, GP, Williams, Walker, Howard etc)

It should be. Like NYB7 lat year it was boring since it was all about defense defense defense, this year it is run and gun. This two teams are known for their offense. Maybe except Dallas becasue they have improved there defense dramatically with the arrival of Avery Johnson, maybe with an exceptin of Game 3 fourth quarter. But yea, this years Finals has been more funner to watch then last years.
