At 43, Oakley wants to play again

Link:Charles Oakley is so old that he calls Dikembe Mutombo 'Junior.' As a matter of fact, Oakley is so old that he broke into the league two years before Knicks rookie Wilson Chandler was born. But the rugged power forward who played against Isiah Thomas and with Eddy Curry is serious about making a comeback... He specifically mentioned the Knicks, Nets, Cavs and Mavs.

If he came back it won't be for long. He is just too old and hasn't played in ages.
"I'm not thinking about Boston," Marbury added. "I'm only thinking about the New York Knicks . Our new nickname is nice and nasty. That's how we're coming.

I wouldn't mind seeing Oakley back with the Knicks. He is very vocal and is definitely not shy about getting into a guys' face if he isn't doing what needs to be done. The Knicks needs a player like that for all of these youngsters.

Oak would also be a hell of a lot more productive than Jerome James!

Only team that would sign him is the Heat (IMO). At the same time, they'd probably give Oak the best shot at a title than any other team (if there are any others to offer him anything).
