RealGM:The Heat could soon be home to Jason Williams -- and Jason Williams.
With its current Jason Williams sidelined by tendinitis in his right knee, the Heat recently worked out the former Duke point guard of the same name.
General Manager Randy Pfund attended the session in Carson, Calif., last week during the Heat's recently completed five-game trip.
"Randy was keeping tabs," Williams' representative, Kevin Bradbury, said Sunday. "We really don't know what the time line is. Randy was happy with what he saw."
The former Duke guard has been out of the league since a motorcycle crash on June 19, 2003. He has long maintained interest in the Heat, with his paternal grandparents longtime civic leaders in Fort Lauderdale.
