Chris Webber is done in Philly

It seems that his buyout has been finalized. Nets are most likely going to go after him. I would have loved to see him in a Knicks Uniform a few years ago but we definitely don't need him now.

Any thoughts as to where he'll end up?

As of right now he could pretty much go anywhere. From LA Lakers or Clippers to the Heat or even us Knicks (hopefully not). Despite his age, he can still be of use. It all depends on which team he goes to that requires his needs the most. For us, we have plenty of forwards already so no thanks.

Webber is supposed to have a phone conversation with Isiah today. Lets hope its just due to the respect that he has for Isiah and not that he is really interested in playing here. Hopefully Isiah won't be able to sell him on the Knicks. I'd hate to see Lee and Frye lose any minutes as they are continuing to develop.

Detroit newspapers have Detroit as the frontrunner to land Webber and the LA newspapers have Lakers as favorite.

Link Chris Webber is going home.

Literally.

Webber first told ESPN.com on Monday via e-mail that he has chosen to sign with the Detroit Pistons, which will officially happen Tuesday after he clears waivers at 2 p.m. ET.

Nice addition for the Pistons, they still can be contenders and Webber is gonna give them a better chance. He's no Ben Wallace, but he will be able to give something similar to his game.
