BRIGHTEST FUTURE

BRIGHTEST FUTURE

Postby lakerfool on Fri Apr 14, 2006 3:18 pm

which team's in your opinion have the BRIGHTEST future?

IMO

Orlando- they have a CRAZY! front court w/ Darko and DHoward.

People were saying Darko was a bust. What are they saying now? He's putting up 8 pts, 4 boards, 2 blks per 20minutes during his stay w/ Orlando. He's only 21 years old too.

And dwight howard. Same age, already avering 16/12. Playing solid defense every damn night.

Jameer Nelson- wow. 17/6assists since SAteve has left. This guy has a killer instinct. Plays on both ends of hte court.

Turkoglu is vasly underrated. 6'10 SF who can shoot the lights out or atke it to the hole.

What's missing on this team? A pure shooting guard. Rumor has it that Vince Carter may sign there if he opts out after next season. the next year wade, hinrich, melo and bron are free agents. I don't even want to think of this team if they land one of these players

ATL-
17 ppg, 7 reb, 4 assists, 4 blk, 1.5 steal. Now if you were to guess who was putting up these type of numbers, who would you guess? Kevin Garnett?

Nah, Go East.

Lebron James? wrong
Time is up. JOSH SMITH! What?!?!?!?!? Since all star break, the man has EXPLODED. The guy has developed a deadly 3pt shot, a passing game. He just keeps getting better. Oh and by the way, he's only 20 years old.

Then you have Joe Johnson. THe guy is proving that he is one of hte top 2guards in the league and was something before Nash. 18 ppt, 6 reb, 6 assists. He does it all.

Then you have Harrington. 18 ppg, 8 boards, who can be PERFECT trade bait to land the big they are in need of.

This summer, expect them to go after Nene and Wilcox. If they land either, this team will be scary.

Lakers? YEAH I said it.

Kwame Brown- He's finally realized how big he is. He's finally realized his superiority to others in the league. Kwame hasn't been putting up the stats this year, but if you've been watching him, he's been a defensive FORTRESSor (fortress sounds to femme.) This second half of the season, he's improved ont eh boards and defense. Scoring over 10 per game since mIHM'S been out, THAT'S just extra frosting on the cake baby.

Odom- Yeah, i've bashe him too. Bt then i realzied, HE'S ONLY 26 YEARS OLD! He's found consistency in the small forward position. Bash him all you want, but since all star break, he's consistently putting up 17 pts, 9 reb, 6 assists, 1 stl and 1 blk. STOP WITH THE HATE.

Kobe- 35 ppg at the age of 27. what's scary about Kobe is he's just finally learning how to let other reap from his play. He's no doubt teh best basketball player on earth now, but once he finds a way (and he's improved at thsi this season) to get others around him to play at his level, it's over.

then you have Mihm to trade for teh PF to play near kwame. MLE to grab marcus Banks. THis team can be a top defensive team in the league if smart GMing is applied

Honestly I see Orlando or Cleveland. Though the Lakers have Kobe his prime is now and I don't understand why Mitch isn't trying to surround him with better talented players. Instead he screws them up talent wise and financial wise.

Orlando is on the right path and watching Howard play is scary. This guy is a beast! he needs to polish up on his post game and become a more versatile offensive threat. I can see a Shaq/Amare-esque like player in him.....PURE DOMINANCE.

Orlando seriuosly has a crazy goo future. The only thing they are missing is a 2guard. They can easily sign a young defensive 2guard in Pietrus in a few years.

As for the Lakers, the potential there I see is really reliant on Mitch.

We have the MLE and FA's like Banks coming. You have good trade bait in Mihm too. We can easily package Mihm to Chicago for Chandler (they have their wannabe 07 hopes too). Sign banks for MLE

PG Banks
SG Kobe
SF Odom
PF Chandler
C Kwame

off the bench, Bynum

It all depends on Mitch's brain

But your probably right, pure talent wise etc. Orlando has it.

I didn't really list Cleve because of the lousy contract they gave when they resigned Z and for them sigining Hughes who doesn't match up w/ lebron at all. When it's all said and done, i believe he will surpass Kobe, but to tell you the truth, I think Kobe has more defensive oriented pieces around him

Orlando has a sick future with Jameer, Dwight, Reddick, Darko..etc. Dwight we already know is a big monster who will be in the elite players of the NBA very soon.

Jameer, is a hell of a point guard who in IMO is kind of underrated because he never really gets mentioned in the good pgs of todays game. Watch for to have a good season.

What's missing on this team? A pure shooting guard.

I have your answer. Reddick I dont know about him though. He can be a bust but he can also prove the media wrong. Dwight is perfect for him like Sheldon Williams becasue he will bring a lot of attention from the inside and Dwight can just kick it out and bam, theres JJ for the 3. So I think he wont be a bust.

Darko is starting to prove his not a bust. He was just called that becasue he was in the wrong city in Detriot where they had Rasheed over him and he couldnt get any playing time but now he is in Orlando and trying to make a name for himself.

So The Magic have a very bright future.

But another team who has a pretty good future is the Celtics they have a bunch of young players that are just waiting to break out. Delonte West, Gerald Green, Al Jefferson, Tony Allen, Ryan Gomes, Sebastian Telfair, Wally Szczerbiak, and Allan Ray. Not to mention but they also have Paul Pierce leading the team. That is a very sick team for the future.

Hinrich is also a possibilty for Orlando with their cap room. Though I'd go with a cheaper Gordon, who would fit better because it allows more ball to be in Jameer's hands

Gerald Green & Rudy Gay. Each can bring something of their own to the table and if on the right team they can become stars.
