Big Ticket outta town?

twincities:Where might Garnett go if the team decides to cut ties? The Lakers, Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls are among the teams reportedly interested.

The Lakers are an obvious possibility because Garnett owns a home in Malibu, Calif., and spends his summers there. He would seem to make the Lakers instant contenders in the Western Conference if paired with Kobe Bryant.

But if the Wolves don't receive Bryant in return — and there's no chance of that happening — then who on the Lakers' roster is appealing enough to pull the trigger? Odom almost certainly would have to be included because his $12.4 million salary next year would be a necessary component. Odom, center Chris Mihm and point guard Smush Parker, plus the Lakers' first-round draft pick this season, might be a start.

The Warriors will have a lottery pick this summer they can add to a package that could include guard Jason Richardson and forward Troy Murphy.

As for New York, reports surfaced this season about Knicks boss Isaiah Thomas' plan to make a run at Garnett. The Knicks are stocked with bad contracts, and whether the Wolves would want to take on any of those is doubtful. Still, the Knicks could offer guard Steve Francis and promising forward Channing Frye. That would reunite Garnett and Stephon Marbury.

The Bulls have two high first-round picks this summer, including what figures to be the No. 1 overall selection, and plenty of young, talented players. What about big man Tyson Chandler, swingman Luol Deng and guard Ben Gordon?

The Lakers and The Knicks have a chance at Garnett! If the Knicks get Kevin I don't want to give Frye in the trade sure we would get the monster Kevin Garnett but we would be giving up a lot of potential plus talent (Stevie) plus a lot of draft picks. Which we should have since we are going to have some problems for about 2-3 more years and we can get some good draft picks. For me I would trade Woods, Francis, M. Rose, and 2 2nd furture round picks. If we trade again it's just going to start more problems.

For the Warriors I think it would be a good trade. Them giving up some picks which are going to be low for some time unless they get Garnett. Plus Murphy which isn;t really doing anything. Jason Richardson can be replaced with Michael Pieturs which has a lot of potential, so I think that would be a good trade for the Warriors.

Bulls I think would be good. Him and Tyson Chandler in the paint would be a deadly. But it would depend who they give up Gordon or Deng. Cuz Gordon is the clutch player and he has become a fan favorite. But if they traded Deng it would be good since they have umm wait nevermind. I don't know!

As for the Lakers. I think the only way is them giving up Mihm Odom and Smush and that was what the article said. All 3 of them have been playing good and improved this year. Espically Smush except his defense. But nobody expected Smush to be doing what he is doing now. Mihm has improved A LOT since last year, but just has had an injury for like the past month. But I would love to have a Kobe/Garnett team. I would also like to have a Crawfor/Granett/Mabury/Nate team you now what I'm sayin!

IMHO, the knicks have one of the better chances of landing him

they have

TONS OF EXPIRING K'S

TONS OF YOUNG TALENT

Now, the question is are they willing to let Frye go.

Frye/Crawford/Exp K would easily do it if i were MChale. I get a young center, a young SG and cap room.
