KG- Knicks Rumor

KG- Knicks Rumor

Postby Vash on Thu Jan 18, 2007 11:50 am

Link An unsubstantiated internet rumor about Garnett and the Knicks highlights a package of Channing Frye, Nate Robinson, Jamal Crawford and a 2008 first-round pick. However, a league official said the Knicks have been quiet on the trade front recently.

Its just a rumor but if this is all Isiah needs to give up for Garnett, he should definitely do it.

KG might be 31 but he is still one of the best PF in the league, averaging 22.4 PPG and 12.6 RPG. The Knicks are a pretty young team but they are inconsistent as hell. KG is playing a lot better than some of our young guys and he has a few good years still left. He can help the knicks win now and we will still have Curry, Lee and Balkman to build around.

Thats giving up a bit too much future potential for a aging star. I like KG but if we have to lose this much for a quick title contention then its not worth it.

I think that the only value that we are really giving up is Frye. His game has been improving a lot lately and it would be great if he can develop into a great shot blocker cause we def can't depend on Curry for that. KG is the only player out there that I would mind giving Frye up for.

I try to like Crawford but I think his best days were under Larry Brown. Now, his shot selection is suspect and he has hurt the knicks just as much as he's helped them. Nate, I really like but he can be just as bad a Crawford. They don't need as much freedom as Isiah seems to be giving them.

I think that KG would be a great addition to the team. I`d like to see him playin` with Starbury. We have enough young talents and we`d give this guys for all-star PF.
