PREVIEW:Having lost five of their last six games, the Orlando Magic are ready to welcome back one of their veteran stars, who is coming back from another injury.
Grant Hill is expected to make his season debut for the Magic when they face the New York Knicks on Wednesday.
A seven-time All-Star, Hill underwent surgery for a sports hernia October 31. Since joining Orlando in 2000, he played just 47 games in his first three seasons before sitting out all of 2003-2004 because of an ankle injury.
Last season, the 33-year-old Hill averaged 19.7 points and 4.7 rebounds in 67 games and won the NBA Sportsmanship Award.
Orlando averaged 81.4 points during a recent five-game losing streak, which ended with Saturday's 94-83 victory over the Denver Nuggets. DeShawn Stevenson scored 18 points and Dwight Howard added 17 with 14 rebounds.
After dropping 10 of 13 on the road this season, the Knicks play five of their next six at home and will be looking for their second victory in their last seven contests.
Rookie Channing Frye scored a season-high 30 points and Nate Robinson and Eddy Curry added 15 each for in Monday's 112-92 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Magic won two of the three meetings against the Knicks last season.
