Clippers look for ninth win in 10 games vs. Knicks

NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Elton Brand's dominant play has led the Los Angeles Clippers to their best mark in more than three decades.
The Clippers look for their ninth victory in 10 games when they continue their six-game road trip Tuesday against the New York Knicks.
Los Angeles is 11 games above .500 for the first time since 1974-1975 when the franchise was known as the Buffalo Braves. The Clippers are in fifth place in the Western Conference and trail Phoenix by 1 1/2 games in the Pacific Division.
Averaging 25.1 points and 10.3 rebounds this season, Brand has reached the 30-point plateau in each of the first four games of the road trip. He scored 30 on Sunday as the Clippers posted a 115-113 overtime victory over the Toronto Raptors.
Playing their final home game before a four-game road trip, the Knicks have lost five straight and 11 of their last 12 contests.
Jamal Crawford scored 24 points and Jalen Rose added 16 with 11 assists in his Knicks debut on Sunday as New York suffered an 93-89 loss to the Houston Rockets.
Stephon Marbury, the team's leader in scoring (18.1) and assists (6.9) has missed his last two games with an injured left shoulder and may not play against the Clippers.
Brand and Cuttino Mobley scored 24 points apiece as the Clippers rallied from a 12-point second-half deficit to record an 84-79 triumph over the Knicks in their last encounter December 7.

Knicks Nipped by Clippers
The Knicks led with under two minutes to play Tuesday, but could not close out the visiting Clippers in an 85-82 loss. Jalen Rose scored 23 in his second game with New York and Eddy Curry added 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the floor. Stephon Marbury missed his third straight game with a bruised left shoulder.
