nydailynews:Richardson was visibly upset after the loss and, according to a source, was involved in a heated locker room exchange with Marbury. Last month, the Daily News reported that Richardson had to be restrained from going after Marbury the day after a loss to the Lakers. Jerome James also was heard shouting after last night's defeat.
"I just hate to lose, period," Richardson said. "But when you lose the way we lost it's even worse."
Richardson, who was a starter on a Phoenix club that won 62 games last season, takes the losses as hard as anyone. In this case, the anger inside the locker room is an encouraging sign.
The Knicks fell to a league-worst 15-43 and now have lost 22 of their last 24 games. Chicago outscored them 11-0 in the last 1:22 as the Knicks missed their last five shots and saw Steve Francis commit back-to-back turnovers in the final 25.2 seconds.
Forget about Frazier and Monroe. Wouldn't it be great if Marbury and Francis could be as good as Kirk Hinrich and Ben Gordon? Chicago's backcourt combined for 65 points, including 21 in the last 7:45.
"When those guys are on," Francis said, "it's going to be a tough, long night."
