Knicks Waive Nichols, Jordan, Russell

Oct. 25, 2007

New York Knickerbockers President of Basketball Operations and Head Coach Isiah Thomas announced today that guards Jared Jordan, Demetris Nichols and Walker Russell, Jr. have been waived.

Jordan 6-2, 190-pounds, averaged 4.5 minutes in six preseason games, Nichols, 6-8, 215-pounds, averaged 7.8 minutes in five preseason games and Russell, 6-0, 170-pounds, averaged 5.0 minutes in three preseason games.

The preseason roster now stands at 15.

Interesting choice releasing Nichols or Jordan.

I guess Im not really surprised. It would have been better if they found some way to keep Nichols and get rid of James or Jeffries instead. Lets see how long before another team picks him up.

Wow I really liked Jared Jordan, he was great in college and we couldn't even give him one chance.
"I'm not thinking about Boston," Marbury added. "I'm only thinking about the New York Knicks . Our new nickname is nice and nasty. That's how we're coming.

I wanted them to keep D-Nice, he's a solid shooter....the roster still looks good, not I hope Zeke has a good rotation because I could not stand the musical chair lineup we had before. We need a consistent starting group and off the bench players.
