The comeback of Allan Houston lasted one week and one game. The Knicks announced today that they will waive former the All-Star shooting guard.

In a press release handed out at the Knicks' open practice at Hofstra University yesterday, Houston said he decided to end his comeback, feeling it was unfair to the team because he needed more time to get into game shape than they Knicks had to give.

"I think it is better for the team to move on without me," Houston said in the release.

What do you think about the choice the Knicks made?

It wasn't fair at all. I can understand releasing him but they never really gave him a chance to play, its only pre-season it's :mad1:

I feel sorry for him, kinda embarrassing to get signed and all the hype of him returning to play what? one game and then cut....this guy did a lot for us and Isiah made him look like a rookie that was past his prime....

It seemed like from the very beginning that Isiah didn't want Houston to be a part of the Knicks. I don't know if he felt threatened or what.

its sad...i was watching some of houstons clips and he can play....i like his style and everything...i really felt bad 4 him because he dirint make the team...

houston was my favorite player....it's a shame he got hurt and couldn't come back from it....if he never got hurt he was going to be great...sweet jump shot
