Knicks' Jeffries Injured

Miami Herald -
New York Knicks ' forward Jared Jeffries left Friday's preseason finale against the New Jersey Nets with a sprained right knee.

Jeffries suffered the injury after colliding with New Jersey's Richard Jefferson in the first quarter. He was aided to the locker room and later taken to the hospital.

A good defender is lost in Jeffries, but this opens opportunities for Wilson Chandler.

yea its sucks because i really saw jeffries hustling for the ball and i saw him score i can tell he dosent want the knicks fan 2 think of what they though of him last season...i aint gonna like i got mad when he wa sput in the line up

Not to sound mean but this will probably be for the better. Now I don't wish injuries on any player but this will give Balkman more mins who IMO will be a lot more productive than Jeffries.

Yep couldn't have said it any better. I think this will give Balkman a chance to show Isiah that it's him that needs more minutes and Jeffries can be the back up.
