BROWN DEFENDS TRADE-BAIT STEPH

Brown even cracked, "If anything needs to be done, maybe they need to find a new coach."

Brown said he's "proud" of how hard Marbury has worked.

"I'm proud of him," Brown said. " I think he's trying like crazy. I think he's getting better. My job is to make it easier for him."

I like Marbury's game. My only gripe is that he seems to have this tendency where he can't make the team better. I'm hoping now under the new role Brown has given him, he will be able to do wonders like the way Billups is doing right now.

it will suck for him and for Knicks if he will be traded. NY is his hometown, so I wish he will stay there until he retires. GO KNICKS! :jam2:

I really hope Marbury will learn Brown's way, like Chauncey did. Because then so much of the hate and that "uncoachable" tag will be ripped off. And if they make the playoffs and get past the 1st round, that'd be even better. But playoffs might be next year, this year its just a learning process.

IMO they should trade for draft picks if possible along with the required short term salary filler. The team has a lot of young talent everywhere and should continue to develop them while expectations are considerably low. As the years go on, expectations will increase under Larry Brown so they should use this time as a development period.

That would be a huge trade if Marbury and Hardaway are dealt in the same deal.

I honestly don't want Marbury traded. But if he is going to be included as a package deal then I hope to be receiving a solid PG and another star player. Right now the only teams the Knicks seem to be in discussions with are the Blazers.

Yeah, Im with you. I think Marbury will eventually become fully comfortable with LB's style of play. And LB said that he's working very hard, never complaining, and doing as much as he can.

yea it doesn't seem like marbury is comfortable just yet last night versus lakers only 4 pts. but he did dish out 10 assists which is a major bonus but you expect more scoring out of him......
